While my native town in Europe is still in snow, we here in Goa are experiencing an early heat wave.
We are left to bare continues stickiness, unbearing sun and unreal weather conditions.

I love the sun and warmth, but this is a living hell which I dislike, it's so humid, I am steaming alive!
That, of course, is a total appetite killer, heavy food is out of the question.
What is needed are refreshing fruits, salads, cold dishes, some liquid for the body and health.
Imagine you are on the beach, thinking a sea bath will cool you down a bit, helping you to survive the beating summer heat.
Now imagine some sexy fruit treats with a cooling yogurt dip waiting for you when you come out of the water.
One bite and you are in heaven, released from the torture for the moment...

How many of you now wished that badly to happen?
Even I would enjoy the heat with a nice fruit surprise and that's why I came up with the idea of making fruit skewers and a fitting dip.
Simple fruit salads are nice too but I am having every day a fruit salad, a change was required!
The one who attacked it and finished it is my husband, he loved the idea since he is suffering more in the heat.
Nobody can resist such gorgeous skewers, well... look at them, aren't they pretty for the eye?
Fruits alone don't make it a dish worthwhile to write about, something special was needed.
Happily I went to buy some yogurt because I had an ingenious idea of combining the right ingredients together to a awesome dip.
It is special because I added tender Coconut, from our home grown coconuts, and Jaggery which is a natural sweetener.
Jaggery reminds me of Brown Sugar, because of the texture and taste.
It has in my opinion more characteristic natural flavours, that's why I ll rather use jaggery then plain white sugar.
You will find that the fruit treat is quick and simple to make.
It looks great too if you order the fruits color wise, so I d say its a perfect dessert for guests.
A dip into the coconut yogurt and you find yourself imaginating you are in paradise.
If you are looking exactly for that, then go ahead and try it out, you will see what I mean. 😉

The coconut yogurt dip sounds fantastic. A healthier alternative to the usual fruit dips!

I don't mind the heat but humidity is hard to live with. What gorgeous looking fruit skewers and I haven't tried a coconut and jaggery dip so will have to try this. Have a wonderful Easter xx
